As we settle into the new year, we’re reminded that God’s work didn’t end when the calendar year changed.   New beginnings don’t always arrive loudly; often they take root quietly—in acts of kindness, in growing in faith, and in the love we share with one another. As we journey through this year together, may we stay rooted in God’s love, trusting that even when we can’t see the growth, God is faithfully at work, making all things new.

Saturday, January 17th: Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry will distribute free food to families in need from 9-11am. Volunteers should arrive by 8am to prepare.

Sunday, January 18th: Join us for Sunday service at 10am.  If you cannot attend in person, feel free to join us on our live Zoom webcast.

Canned Food Drive: We’re still collecting canned food, so please drop off donations in the Loaves & Fishes bin in the lobby on Sunday. This month’s food challenge is peanut butter! We have collected 82 jars so far and our goal for January is 500 jars!

Monday, January 19th: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day. Dr. King’s work reminds us that justice, peace and equity are not just social justice ideas, but spiritual callings. As people of faith, we honor his legacy by continuing to walk in love, speak truth with grace, and work toward a world where we are all valued as God’s beloved children.

Wednesday, January 21st at 12pm: The Ladies Luncheon is at The Wellington. Please sign up in the lobby.

Saturday, January 31st: 8 am to 1 pm: Treasures and Trinkets need volunteers!

The church is collecting donations from the congregation. Donations can be dropped off at Davis Hall from 8 am to 10 am on Friday mornings.  Please contact Pat Thomas to set up any other drop off times.

Saturday, February 14th at 12:30 pm: Come join us for the “You Are Loved” Valentines Day Luncheon featuring live music and great food!

Sunday, February 15th at 11:30 am: After regular Sunday Service, we will have a Mardi Gras potluck. If you would like to bring a dish to share, please sign up in the lobby.

We are always looking for volunteers to help lead church functions. Please contact the church office if you have time to lend a hand in one of the following areas:

The St. Pauly Clothing Shed in the rear of the church collects gently used clothing and other items for families in need. Please donate clothing, shoes, belts, purses, blankets, sheets, pillowcases, curtains, and stuffed animals. Please do not bring electronics, books, household items, toys, pillows, garbage, rags or fabric scraps.

Glass Recycling: We now accept glass for recycling! Hernando County currently does not accept glass for recycling. SHUCC has found an organization in Citrus County that recycles glass. Recycling glass is open to our congregation and people in the community who would like to participate. Please thoroughly rinse glass before placing it in the proper bin located behind the dumpster on the back of the property. Recycling helps our environment! Broken glass is not accepted!
