Tomorrow, Thursday, April 24 at 7:30pm: the Weeki Wachee Winds spring concert is in the Sanctuary. You are invited to join the Winds for a rare weeknight performance! Admission is free; donations are cheerfully accepted.

This Sunday, April 27th: our “Plant the Church” workday begins after the service and fellowship time. If you can lend a hand, please bring a low-maintenance plant to donate, work clothes, and gloves and yard tools, and help us transform the church grounds into an example for the entire community.

Next Monday, April 28th at 7pm: the Uplifted College & Young Adult group meets in the Sanctuary.

Sunday, May 4th at 9am - Linda Bixby begins a Bible Study Class on the book of Deuteronomy - the last and definitive book of the Torah. Explore the shape and substance of Israel’s faith, and the main themes characteristic of Judaism and by extension, of Christianity. You can sign-up in the church lobby.

Sunday, May 4th after service, please join us for a Cinco De Mayo Fellowship potluck celebration in Fellowship Hall. You are welcome to help celebrate Mexican American culture by bringing a Mexican-themed dish to share.

Please sign-up in the lobby if you would like to let us know what dish you wish to bring.

Billie McHam has been taking photos to update our church directory. You can contact Billie to snap your photo, or send her new email or phone contact information if it has changed recently. The directory is voluntary, is for both members and those who have not joined the church, and is used so we can put a name to your face when we greet you.

The Reading With Spring Hill Elementary School (SHES) program now has ten people who have volunteered to read to first grade classes. Through your generous donations, each child also will receive their own book. These hardback books are quality literature and are written at various reading levels. For some of children, the book we provide may be the first one they will own.

Here’s how you can help:

• Donate using the envelopes at the book display table in the lobby
• If you write a check, please write "Book Fund" on the memo line

Sunday, May 18th - let’s be a Creation Justice Church. There will be a vote during the service on becoming a UCC Creation Justice Church.

Benefits are:

• Join the United Church of Christ’s efforts to save the environment
• Save the earth for the next generation
• Learn how to do little things that make a big difference
• Save money on paper products

Our Loaves & Fished Food Pantry can always use food donations of cereal, jelly, ramen, mac & cheese and soup. Donations may be left in the Loaves & Fishes bin in the church lobby on Sunday.

The Food for Thought initiative collects healthy snacks for Spring Hill Elementary School (SHES). We need large boxes of cereal (e.g. Honey Nut Cheerios) and snacks (e.g. Pretzels, Goldfish, or Animal Crackers). Please drop off donated items in the Food for Thought bin in the church lobby.  Also please see news above about Reading with SHES.

The St. Pauly Clothing Shed in the rear of the church collects gently used clothing and other items for families in need. Please donate clothing, shoes, belts, purses, blankets, sheets, pillowcases, curtains, and stuffed animals. Please do not bring electronics, books, household items, toys, pillows, garbage, rags or fabric scraps.

Sunday service greeters, welcome desk attendants, and liturgists can volunteer by signing up at the welcome desk in the church lobby on Sunday.
